We have received multiple reports about solar company representatives canvassing customer neighborhoods this month, one of whom presented himself as “from Elmhurst”. These are not the first reports we’ve received, and it is happening in other service areas as well.

This is not Elmhurst. We do not work with any rooftop solar installers. Anyone from Elmhurst will have identification, will be wearing Elmhurst gear, and will be driving Elmhurst trucks.

Elmhurst sources electricity from hydropower, making our rates some of the lowest (and our power some of the cleanest) in the state and country.

Because of this, it is difficult for solar systems to be economically viable in our service area. Please be aware of this as you evaluate solar systems and whether they are a good option for you.
