CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – TEMPORARY

ELMHURST MUTUAL POWER & LIGHT COMPANY

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt                                                           Date: February 15, 2024

Reports to: Customer Service Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Temporary position with a duration not to exceed six months[1].  This is a non-exempt position with no benefits, except as mandated by state or federal regulations.  Provide effective customer service by greeting customers in a friendly and respectful manner (either in person or by telephone). Provide accurate and timely data entry.  Perform analysis, interpretation and collection of consumer accounts and effectively communicate the results to customers.

Gain strong knowledge of all areas concerned with customer accounts, including billing, service requests, metering, account adjustments, payment arrangements, deposits, even monthly billing, rates, letter of credit, memberships, ancillary products, and services offered by Elmhurst Mutual Power & Light Company (Elmhurst).

[1] The position may be extended beyond 6 months, if supported by business requirements and approved by the General Manager.
