Elmhurst is pleased to announce Chase Hannahs has earned his journeyman lineman certification! Chase started at Elmhurst as a meter reader, attended journeyman line training, and has completed over 7,000 hours of line work as part of our apprenticeship program. A journeyman lineman builds and maintains our electrical system. Linemen are required to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet. Their responsibilities include operating excavation and aerial equipment and troubleshooting system problems.
We are also grateful they are willing to work in difficult conditions and in all kinds of weather, because…that is usually when the power goes out! We are proud Chase is part of the Elmhurst line crew.
