Budget Billing & Energy Efficiency

We are often asked for tips on reducing electrical usage and costs. Although we do not have peak and off‐peak times during which it is less expensive to use electricity, we offer ways to manage the costs such as budget billing.

This is a tool that saves the inconvenience of seasonal billing fluctuation. To use this tool:

• All outstanding bills are to be paid in full prior to starting the plan
• You must have 12 months of bill history at the same residence
• Complete a budget application form
• If you rent, your landlord must sign the application authorizing you to participate

Once you are approved for this program, you pay the same amount each month (calculated on your prior year’s usage). If you use more electricity than the budget, this is reconciled and billed to you in June of each year. If you use less, your bill will be reduced in June.
