To qualify the building to be conditioned by the DHP must have the following characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The area conditioned by the DHP must be currently heated by either zonal or forced air electric resistance heat.<\/li>\n<li>The installed DHP must have an AHRI certificate and have an HSPF2 minimum rating of 10.4 for non-ducted units and a 9.4 HSPF2 rating for ducted units..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The incentive is $1,000 per ton of installed outdoor unit cooling capacity for each DHP installed.<\/p>\n<p>Trained Ductless Heat Pump contractors must install the systems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial Heat Pump Retrofit &amp; Upgrade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An Air Source Heat Pump Retrofit replaces an existing electric-resistance heating system with an efficient electric air source heat pump (e.g., adds an electric air source heat pump to a system where one did not previously exist).<\/p>\n<p>An Air Source Heat Pump Upgrade either: 1) replaces an existing electric air source heat pump with a more efficient electric air source heat pump (e.g., replacing a code minimum heat pump that meets BPA heat pump efficiency requirements); or 2) is an efficient electric air source heat pump installed as part of a building addition project, new construction project or major renovation project.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Preconditions \u2013 Heat Pump Retrofit:<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The space is conditioned by zonal or forced-air, electric-resistance heat as the primary heating source.\u00a0 No other heating source are eligible.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Preconditions \u2013 Heat Pump Upgrade:<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The space is conditioned by an operational or failed air source heat pump; or<\/p>\n<p>The space is part of a building addition, new construction, or a major renovation project.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-conditions:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The installed heat pump must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be an air-to-air heat pump<\/li>\n<li>Have an AHRI certificate of product rating, and<\/li>\n<li>Meet BPA\u2019s efficiency requirements for both heating and cooling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The incentives are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>$1,000 per ton for a Heat Pump Retrofit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>$150 per ton for a Heat Pump Upgrade<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"excerpt_part\">&#8230;that meets BPA heat pump efficiency <strong>requirements<\/strong>); or 2) is an efficient electric air source heat pump installed as part of a building addition project, new construction project or major&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/34176"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/11"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=34176"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/34176\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":34178,"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/34176\/revisions\/34178"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.elmhurstmutual.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=34176"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
