Lineman Appreciation Day

Every April 18th, the nation pauses to recognize the men and women who keep the lights on — literally. National Lineman Appreciation Day was established to honor the electrical lineworkers who maintain, repair, and build the power infrastructure that modern life depends on. The observance originated through grassroots advocacy and was officially recognized by the U.S. Senate in 2013, acknowledging the critical — and often dangerous —work that linemen perform every single day.

Rain or shine, in the dead of winter or the heat of summer, linemen climb poles, string wire, and restore power after storms when most people are safely indoors. Their work demands not only physical toughness but precision, deep technical knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

This April 18th, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to our incredible line crew. Your dedication to doing the job right — every time — is something we never take for granted. You show up early, stay late, and somehow manage to keep your sense of humor while doing some of the most demanding work in the industry.
